Nursing taught me how to care for people in their hardest hours. Creating is teaching me how to care for people in their quietest ones.
For years my calling looked like a badge, a set of scrubs, and a twelve hour shift. I loved the work. I still do. But somewhere along the way I started to feel that nursing was not my ceiling, and that God was building something wider for my family and me.
The pivot has not been a clean line. It looks like learning in public, figuring out strategy as I go, and letting people watch the beginning instead of only the highlight.
If you are standing at the edge of your own pivot, I want you to know it does not have to be tidy to be obedient.
